Consequently, people in South Wales typically use various UK airports outside their region. Bristol Airport is the closest one, about 50 miles to the east of Cardiff, and since the Severn Bridge toll was abolished in 2018, this route is now free of charge. No, there are no tolls on either crossing over the river Severn since December 2018. So the journey from Cardiff to Bristol won’t involve any crossing charges. All the other tolls that may be present in the rest of the route are already taken into account.
