Ride your way
The distance from London to Stonehenge is about 90 miles to the west via the M3 and A303 through Salisbury Plain. This is one of our day-trip long distance chauffeur routes rather than a transfer, and that is what determines how it should be booked.
There is no rail link to the stone site, the nearest town is a couple of miles away, and there is nowhere else to walk to, so whatever method is used, it must include a road trip at the end of it. Most people want something more from the day than just the stones.
London to Stonehenge
By rail, it's Waterloo to Salisbury, then a bus or taxi for the final ten miles or so, with the same journey in reverse to come home. A pre-organised coach trip takes care of the travel, but the price is your own day: a fixed departure time, a fixed group of fellow travellers, and a fixed window to actually see the site.
The third option is a car booked for the day. It leaves when you're ready, waits at the site for however long you need, and stops wherever suits you along the way - Windsor on the way out, Salisbury Cathedral or a detour to Bath on the way back, lunch wherever you fancy. All of it sits inside the price of the hired time, with no separate tickets to buy.
That's really the difference: a one-way transfer gets you there. Booking the day gives you the day itself.

The Congestion Charge and ULEZ will be paid for in case it applies at the London end of the route, as well as any tolls.
If it is a day or hourly hire, the driver and car will be hired for that period of time, waiting at each stop point rather than being re-hired.
Minimum periods, mileage allocations and cancellation policies are determined by each partner and will be displayed with every selection made, and the mileage does matter when it is a day to Bath.
